The Norco Storm 3 is a recreational mountain bike which is comfortable on everything from dirt paths to bike paths. The lightweight alloy frame uses Norco's holistic approach to geometry, where longer reach, slacker head tube angle and steep seat tube angle puts more weight towards the front of the bike in a way that gives you efficient and powerful pedalling, with grip and control when you descend. To compliment this design the Storm has a Suntour XCT30 HLO DS Suspension Fork with 100mm travel to smooth the bumps when you hit the trails.
The 2x9 speed Shimano Alivio drivetrain stands out for its simple efficiency that minimises maintenance and delivers smooth shifting for a crisp ride. The Tektro M275 Hydraulic Disc Brakes are good quality for a bike in this price range, giving you reliable braking power in all conditions so that you can ride with confidence. Step up to the Norco Storm 2 and you get a bike that is conceptually very similar, just with an improved 10 speed Shimano Deore drivetrain which is a nice upgrade with the simplified 1x setup and an improved Suntour fork. At the end of the day the Norco Storm 3 combines a modern design with a reliable drivetrain, serviceable braking and suspension for a ride that does all of the basics well - just what you want out of an affordable hardtail.
Progressive Design: The Storm uses Norco's holistic approach to fit and geometry to achieve its nimble, confident trail performance. The unique combination of longer reach, slacker head tube angle and steep seat tube angle provides a more forward weight distribution within a longer wheelbase. This allows more powerful, efficient pedalling, increased climbing traction and added grip and control when descending.
100mm Travel Suspension Fork: Each Storm features 100mm of front suspension travel – the perfect amount for off-road adventure and exploration, without feeling like you're carrying around extra weight or bulk when you don't need it.
Internal Routing: By routing the brake and shift cables inside the frames, they are out of harm's way and away from the elements. That means shifting and braking performance last longer between services, and the bikes look clean!
2.35" Tyre Clearance: The Storm series comes equipped with 2.25" tires for a smooth, all-round fast ride, but the frame is designed to take up to 2.35" rubber, so if your adventures start to get a little looser, just throw on some wider tires, and the Storm is good to go!
