The Norco Optic C1 Dual Suspension Mountain Bike is a blazing short-travel trail bike built to maximise agility and confidence while you're riding. The brilliance of the Optic is in the frame/suspension combination which is designed to tear up the trails. The carbon front triangle/alloy rear frame gives you the ideal combination of strength while minimising wait for a dynamic ride. The geometry and design puts you in an aggressive position with a wide bars, a short stem, steep seat angle and long top tube for power and grip while you climb and descend.
Add to that the Fox Performance Elite 36 Grip2 Float Fork (42mm offset) with 140mm travel and Fox Performance Elite Float DPX2 Rear Shock for an incredibly playful and ambitious ride. Norco's Ride Aligned design system allows you to customise and tune the suspension to your preferences and body for the ultimate trail ride. The suspension is complimented by Shimano XTR 4 piston 203/180 Hydraulic Disc Brakes for incredible stopping power and control to help you ride aggressively with confidence.
The 12 speed Shimano XTR Groupset gives you crisp and precise shifting for an unbeatable ride, as the 1x12 setup gives you reliably efficient performance. You'll be putting all of that power through the Stans Flow S1 rims and burly 29 inch Vittoria Mazza 2.4" Front Tyre/Vittoria Martello 2.35" rear tyre for the ultimate combination of speed and grip. The Optic does all of the important parts well, but it also does the little things well, equipped with a Fizik Alpaca Terra Saddle and X-Fusion Manic Dropper Post so that you can get out of the saddle and really get after it.
The Norco Optic C1 is a capable trail bike with downhill components for a ride built to go fast and rip it up and as the top of the range Optic this bike really is a standout. It may have been the PinkBike Mountain Bike of the Year last year, but it really is back bigger and better than ever with the 2021 model.
Custom Suspension: We created the Optic’s suspension design around very specific shock performance, with spring and damper characteristics that would help define its ride. So, we sourced customized Fox and RockShox rear shocks with the precise spring and damping curves we were looking for.
Design By High Speed: By relaxing the Optic's head angle for stability, we fine-tuned the handling with reduced-offset forks and short 45mm stems – providing even more high-speed precision and predictability for more aggressive trail riding.
Built To Descend: To bolster the Optic's descending prowess, each bike is equipped with 4-piston 203/180mm disc brakes, shorter seat tubes, long-stroke dropper posts and aggressive knobby tyres.
