Merida Reacto 4000 is an aerodynamic carbon road bike, with a Shimano 105 groupset. The Reacto 4000 balances aerodynamics, acceleration, handling and comfort.
The Reacto is designed to minimise the effect of air resistance on the bike, maximising speed without sacrificing other factors such as weight, stiffness and comfort. This means the Reacto retains the versatility and comfort of a road bike, but takes off when you put the foot down, and holds well at high speed. This balance makes it a particularly appealing option for triathletes, as it takes some of its cues from a time trial bike, while still having that versatility of a road bike that can be ridden anywhere.
Shimano 105 groupset provides smooth, reliable shifting and braking performance, whilst helping to keep the overall cost of the bike low. Shimano 105 is a great option for recreational riders, as it balances affordability with the performance and usability you will want as you become more serious with your riding.
Maximum head tube stiffness creates confident handling through fast corners and descents, while lateral stiffness through the bottom bracket makes for sharp acceleration and maximum pedalling efficiency.
