Description
The Merida eSpresso 200 electric hybrid is the perfect bike for commuting in style and comfort. The eSpresso 200 comes with a Shimano STePS E5000 motor and E8014 battery, Shimano’s latest mid-drive pedal assist system. This gives a very natural riding experience, where the hills are a breeze and you’ll get where you need to go without breaking a sweat.
The eSpresso 200 electric hybrid bike is built with an incredibly light and durable triple butted aluminium frame and along with the tapered headtube, gives you the best possible stiffness to weight ratio. The aesthetics of the frame are taken care of with the smooth welding process giving it that clean carbon look, while the cables are internally routed and protected from the elements. Tackle all the bumps with the SR Suntour suspension fork, equipped with remote lockout to adapt on the fly.
This e-bike comes equipped with hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano, giving you the ultimate control over braking in all conditions. While the drivetrain and shifting is also taken care of by Shimano, including an Altus derailleur to virtually eliminate the chance of dropping a chain and ensure a quiet ride. The SR Suntour fork will take care of the rough stuff and when combined with the wide 42c tyres from Continental, you’ll get a silky smooth and efficient ride.

Features
HFS-hydroforming Prolite 66 triple butted aluminium frame based around fast rolling 700c wheels and with commuting and leisure riding in mind. A higher front end and a compact geometry make for a more upright and extremely comfortable riding position.
We feature internal cable routing on all our eSPRESSO models. Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. Only a clever system for our internal guiding and fixing guarantees reliable and rattle free routing and gives the bike a cleaner look.
The suspension fork can be locked out on the XT-EDITION and 900 EQ models – via a ‘remote control’ lever on the handlebar. Perfect for smooth climbs or when you push hard on the pedals while standing up.
‘K-mount’ featuring bikes have fixing points on the chain stays to fit a MERIDA kickstand while ‘C-mount’ equipped bikes have the fixing point for the rear rack (carrier) integrated. ‘F-mount’ equipped bikes have the fixing points for the mudguards (fenders) already integrated.
In our eSPRESSO range, you can choose between the classic diamond or the extra low step-through (yet super torsionally stiff) frame so that you can find the ideal bike for your preferences. Tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/2" in the bottom. Combined with a tapered steerer tube (the respective part on the fork) creates superb stiffness and precise confidence-inspiring steering.
The whole range rides on fast rolling 700c wheels, ideal for rides on roads, lanes and smooth tracks. We fit tyres with reflective sidewalls and puncture protection that will get you to your destination quickly and safely.
