Description
Merida Big Seven 500 is a mid-level performance mountain bike. This bike is well suited to recreational riders looking to their riding to the next level. The frame is made from hydro-formed aluminium; providing a balance of lightness, stiffness, and sturdiness. This will translate to a bike that this agile and maneuvrable that will climb fast and efficiently out of the saddle.
Front air-sprung suspension is courtesy of Manitou, it has tapered steerer-tube and a 15mm axle to increase stiffness. This provides more accurate steering meaning the bike will go where you point it, even when the terrain gets rough.
A Shimano 2x10 Deore SLX drivetrain takes care of shifting duties, providing crisp shifts and ultimate reliability. The wide range cassette also means a simple conversion to a 1x conversion if you choose. Braking is also taken care of by Shimano, with hydraulic discs front and rear you can be confident you will have ample stopping power when you need it.
The Merida Big Seven 500 is the perfect bike to take your riding from the amateur to the enthusiast, even suitable for entry level cross country racing.
