Merida Big Nine 40-D is a mid-level recreational mountain bike; it suits riders of all ages who are looking for good quality at a great price. Featuring the BIG.NINE SPEED series frame, this bike is built to perform at a price. Expect predictable handling from the comfortable and relaxed geometry.
The Big Nine 40-D comes with a 27 speed groupset from Shimano. This gives the rider smooth, consistent gear changes and wide range gears to suit all riding situations. Complete with a 100mm suspension fork from SR Suntour, this bike will handle the bumps on the trail. If you are riding on smoother terrain and want to conserve some energy, the fork also a lock out feature accessed simply from the top of the fork leg.
The Merida Big Nine 40-D is a fantastic bike to go out and get your first taste of mountain biking, or simply use it as a rugged commuter to get to and from work or school.
