The Maxxis High Road Road Tyre is Maxxis' versatile road race tire, updated for 2021. It features a lighter-weight casing, enhanced puncture protection, and a revised tread pattern, making it lighter, faster, and more durable. SKU: TB00349300.
Key Features
- HYPR compound: HYPR is a full-silica compound and our best-performing compound to date. It offers 16% less rolling resistance and 23% better grip in wet conditions compared to our previous road racing compound. HYPR manages to decrease rolling resistance and increase traction while maintaining the same durability as our previous rubber compounds.
- ONE70 TPI: ONE70 uses a special high thread count fabric in the casing, which further reduces rolling resistance compared to our other racing tires. This technology also enhances road feel and provides weight savings over other racing tires. The 170 TPI casing results in a 2% reduction in rolling resistance compared to 120 TPI.
- ZK puncture protection: This offers a 7% increase in puncture resistance. ZK is our next-generation puncture protection material, which is lighter, more flexible, and stronger than previous materials like K2. Maxxis typically uses ZK as a breaker layer, positioned underneath the tread in the middle of the tire.
