The Cube Reaction Pro is a hardtail mountain bike that is built with the agility and durability for the real world. Completely updated in 2019, Cube has kept what made the Reaction so great and then built on it with high quality spec. It all starts with the mechanically-formed, double butted 6061 aluminium alloy frame which is a stiff, corrosion and fatigue resistant piece of German engineering, with very light and stiff tubesets. There's still a stiffness-enhancing tapered head tube with integrated headset and it's all put together with Cube's Agile Ride Geometry, for the best possible blend of comfort, pace and agility. 

The light and stiff frame is powered by Shimano’s sleek 2x11 SLX/XT transmission, giving you a range of gears for a smooth and efficient ride. Shimano has also provided the hydraulic disc brakes for the ultimate control in any conditions, while Schwalbe Rapid Rob tyres offer excellent traction and speed. Every mountain bike needs a quality suspension fork, and the Reaction Pro is equipped with the RockShox Recon Silver TK Air suspension fork with 100mm travel to take care of the rough stuff and help you on the bigger challenges. The Reaction Pro is made for the real world, with Cube’s new, super-sleek luggage carrier and mudguard mounting system. This bike can easily be converted for commuter duties or weekend touring, no hassles.

Features

Easy Mount Kickstand: The Easy Mount Kick Stand is a new system developed by CUBE, in which the base of the stand is mounted from below to a fitting plate integrated to the frame and fixed with a through bolt. This makes the kick stand extremely stiff, stable and solid through the enlarged contact areas between base and frame.

Wet Paint Surface: On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint to save weight.

Advanced Mechanical Forming: We can mechanically transform different frame tubes and thus optimise them without material-wearing welding work for the respective requirements. Along the obtained organic look, the production method is primarily to enable us to manufacture lighter and also stiffer aluminum frames.

Press Fit BB: The bottom bracket bearings are pressed directly into the frame and not screwed in as usual. This gives a wider bottom bracket shell and allows us to build a wider down tube and more broadly-spaced chainstays. Every millimetre of additional width gives a significant improvement in lateral stiffness.

Tapered Steerer: This steerer tube design is stiffer than a conventional straight steerer and yields a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Minimal flex at the front of the frame means the greatest possible steering precision. With the larger steerer, the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integrated into the head tube.

Aluminium Lite: 6061 aluminium alloy requires a heat treatment for the finished product. It is a stiff, corrosion resistant, fatigue resistant,high-elongation material suitable for light tubesets with high stiffness.

Integrated Cable Routing: Cables are protected from dirt for longer life and weight is saved as there is no external housing and the bike has a clean, sleek appearance.

Agile Ride Geometry: We increased fork offsets to achieve the same trail as our 26in bikes without having to steepen the head angle. Secondly, we shortened the chain stays without compromising the seat angle and invented a patented construction to mount the front derailleur to increase tyre clearance while keeping a conventional seat angle, for a perfect riding position. We kept the BB height the same as on our 26in bikes. These measures lead to a natural riding position.

Due to the box sizes and shipping restrictions we are unable to ship bikes with the handlebars, front wheel and pedals pre-installed, and gears and brakes tuned as we have to repack the bike.

We recommend for your own safety that you get a qualified bicycle mechanic to re-install these parts before riding this bicycle. Not using a qualified bicycle mechanic is done at your own risk.
