Apollo Vispo Road Bike (2017)

Description

Apollo Vispo is an entry level performance road bike, ideal for the first time road rider that is looking for a bike that will last them, or for the more experienced rider looking to step up to a well spec’d carbon bike without breaking the bank.

The Vispo frame is built from Mitsubishi hi-modulus carbon fibre in a monocoque construction, featuring a press-fit bottom bracket and an oversized tapered head tube. All this together gives the bike and incredible level of stiffness through the powertrain and front end of the bike. This offers the bike snappy acceleration - turning more of you pedal stroke into forward momentum, and the stiff front end gives responsive and predictable handling leaving you feeling confident and in control.

The frame is designed to offer a good level of comfort as well as uncompromising performance, the rear end of the bike uses thinner stays to offer more vertical compliance, therefore giving the rider some cushioning if the asphalt isn’t perfectly smooth. The geometry is also more relaxed than you will find on the top end bikes, leaving you sitting a little more upright and relaxed for all day comfort.

The build is finished with Shimano 105 gearing, this groupset offers a fantastic balance of price and performance. The 105 groupset features the same amount of gears and many of the same features as the top tier offerings and therefore has a similar feeling of precision, but it also comes in at a price that makes it attainable for the everyday rider.
