Description
The Tacx Flux is an interactive direct drive trainer that uses smart electronics and a large 7kg flywheel to produce one of the most realistic riding experiences available from an indoor trainer.
In addition to the authentic riding experience, the Tacx Flux is also extremely quiet making it perfect for indoor training at any hour of the day. If you’re serious about maintaining your fitness, the Tacx Flux will provide you with a backup training option whenever the weather turns nasty and is a popular option amongst cyclists of all levels.
The Tacx Flux connects directly onto your chain loop so there’s no concerns about damaging your expensive rims as can be the case with traditional indoor trainer designs. You simply remove your rear wheel, pop your chain over the cassette (not included) and you’re good to go!
Another popular feature of the Tacx Flux is the Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to pair your trainer with 3rd party apps and software such as Zwift. By pairing your trainer with a training program you can pre select routes including distance, gradient, intensity and much more, giving an even more realistic riding experience.

Compatible software
Tacx Smart trainers use the Bluetooth Smart and ANT+ FE-C protocol for communication which allows them to be controlled by third-party software. Width of rear fork: Race 130mm, MTB 135mm. Adapters for other widths available , FLUX is not suitable for a long cage rear derailleur A bike with a long cage derailleur won’t fit the FLUX as the maximum distance between the centre of the cassette and the top of the FLUX’s leg is 200mm (as shown in the image below). When using a long cage derailleur in the highest gear it’ll hit the leg.
