Stan's Tire Sealant can instantly repair up to a 1/4-inch hole with just two ounces in a converted standard or tubeless tire. A quart of the sealant can convert up to 16 tires, and typically, only two ounces are needed for most bicycle tires. In a mountain bike tire with a thin casing, the sealant remains liquid for an average of two to seven months. However, in arid climates or when storing the bike in hot areas, more frequent monitoring of sealant levels is necessary. The sealant contains special anti-freeze agents, allowing it to be effective in temperatures as low as -30°F.
