The stop-start nature of urban and off-road riding takes a toll on brakes, so we've chosen Tektro V-brakes that are tough, reliable and easy to service. V-brakes allow you to quickly replace or adjust the brake-pads. They also allow you to use a wider range of panniers bags. The double-walled rims are light but very tough. The sealed bearing bottom bracket is maintenance free. The City 1 has everything you need as a weekday workhorse or a weekend tourer.
