Pearl Izumi added DWR coating across the thermal panels that provide insulation and breathability so that you can stay warm.

From there Pearl Izumi has done a great job with all of the minor details, starting with the three back pockets with Softshell Lite fabric that provide splash protection and a ¾ length internal draft flap that seals in warmth. This jacket is held in place with the silicone waist gripper and you can be seen easily with the BioViz® reflective elements for low-light visibility.
