Description
The Merida Warp 5000 is a triathlon time trial bike that is made for triathletes looking for that extra edge on race day. The Warp Tri C4 frame is cutting edge technology, the fibres are bonded together with an epoxy resin and added nano particles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40% and protecting the integrity of the frame. When creating the individual carbon elements, an inflatable bladder is used to ensure there are no wrinkles inside the tube as these can add weight and create weakness. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame. The aerodynamic tube shapes of this bike means not a single watt is wasted, whilst the increased stiffness in the bottom bracket area puts more of your power onto the road. The cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets, giving the bike a neat and tidy look, while protecting the cables from dirt and moisture.
A full carbon aero fork made specifically for the Warp keeps things stiff at the front for speed and precision, whilst the tapered head-tube provides you with accurate steering and handling. Shimano 105 direct mount brakes will give you improved stopping power and aerodynamics when you need it. The components on the Warp 5000 are of the highest quality, with a Vision Trimax Compact TT crankset and Shimano Ultegra front and rear derailleurs.
The Merida Warp 5000 is a world class triathlon bike that gives you all the high-end spec you are after, without the hefty price tag. This bike is built for the person that wants to maximise their performance on race day and race at their best. All Merida bikes come with a lifetime warranty.
