Merida Silex 300 is an alloy frame adventure road bike, brand new to the Merida range for 2018. Merida Silex 300 combines road bike style geometry, with wheels, brakes and tyres that make it suitable for unsealed trails. The vesatile nature of the bike makes it suitable for recreational road riding or gravel grinding, as well as longer distance, all-weather commuting.
Merida Silex 300 features a lightweight alloy frame designed with all day riding comfort in mind. The frame is paired with a carbon fork to help keep the weight down, the use of carbon can also reduce hand fatigue by minimising the transfer of vibration from the road.
A single chainring drivetrain provided by Sram keeps the shifting simple and reliable, whilst using a wide range cassette ensure you have enough gears to get through the tough climbs.
Using disc brakes rather than rim brakes provides improved stopping power and consistency regardless of weather conditions or how dirty the bike gets. Tektro Spyre disc brakes give Merida Silex 300 excellent stopping power and control over braking.
The Merida Silex 300 is perfect bike to get off the tarmac and explore the path less travelled. All Merida bikes come with a lifetime warranty. This means frames are guaranteed to be free from material or manufacturing defects for the entire ownership for the original owner.
