Description
The Merida Big Seven 400 is a mid-level performance mountain bike that can take your riding to the next level. New to the range in 2019, the Big Seven 400 is equipped with the 2019 RaceLite 6061 Aluminium frame which is a lighter and more advanced frame than previous years. The frame is lighter, yet stiffer because of additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thickness. This means that you get a quality frame at an affordable price. Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8" bearings in the top and 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence inspiring steering. While the cables are routed internally through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
The Big Seven 400 has 27.5” wheels and 100mm travel suspension fork to smooth the bumps on the trail and this is ideal for riding more efficiently on smooth surfaces as well as climbing out of the saddle. If you are riding on smoother terrain and want to conserve some energy, the fork lock out feature can be accessed simply from the top of the fork leg. It is also equipped with Shimano disc brakes for reliability regardless of the conditions and improved control.
The Merida Big Seven 400 is a versatile mountain bike in the middle of the hardtail mountain bike performance range and will help you take that next step with your riding. The Big Seven 400’s lightweight and durable frame, lockout on the suspension fork and quality range of Shimano parts, make this an excellent bike for those that want to enjoy riding, but are ready to get serious.
Features
Racelite 61 aluminium 2019: We use a minimum of 6061 aluminium. The pay back is that it’s possible to make lighter and more advanced frames. We use an additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thicknesses to produce light and stiff frames.
Tfs - Techno Forming System 2019: Technoforming is a mechanical forming process, shaping the tubes by using negative moulds, at times combined with a metal internal core.
F-mount 2019: ‘F-mount’ equipped bikes have integrated fittings for mud guards (some bikes require model specific mud guards), making fitting fast and simple.
K-mount drop-out 2019: Integrated mount on the chainstay to fit a Merida kick stand.
C-mount 2019: ‘C-mount’ equipped bikes have the fixing points for a rear rack already integrated (some bikes require model specific rear rack), making fitting fast, simple and reliable.
Lock-out 2019: The suspension fork and/or rear shock can be locked, either directly or via a ‘remote control’ lever on the handlebar.
