Using a unique 3 compund approach, Maxxis has designed the 3C MaxxGrip to provide a soft compound on the shoulders (outer edges of the tyre tread) a medium compound in the centre and a hard compound on the base layer (area closest to your inner tube). This means you'll experience the softest rubber compound to offer the ultimate grip and slow rebound proprties giving you confidence inpsiring traction in descents. MaxxGrip is softer than MaxxTerra and is purely foccussed on giving you the most grip possible on race day!

As trails get more demanding, rims have gotten wider and wider - as a result traditional tyres (designed for narrower rims) take on a slightly square profile on modern rims. Maxxis Wide Trail tyres are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width meaning on modern rims you'll experience performance as intended with the best traction, control, and reliability the tyre technology has to offer. Wide Trail tyres will perform well on rims as narrow as 30mm depending on your preference.
