Product Details

Description

The Maxxis Minion DHF Folding MTB Tyre is renowned for its exceptional performance, balancing rolling speed with excellent braking and cornering traction. It's a benchmark in mountain biking, often imitated but never matched. Suitable for various terrains and riding styles, from local trails to World Cup downhill races, the Minion DHF offers a specification to meet diverse needs.

Key Features

  • Ramped, directional tread design
  • Large cornering blocks
  • 3C MaxxGrip: Utilizes the softest rubber compounds to provide exceptional grip and slow rebound properties for unmatched traction in downhill applications.
  • DH Casing: Dual Ply, also known as Downhill casing, consists of 2 x 60TPI layers. It includes a Butyl insert extending from the bead up the sidewall, significantly enhancing pinch flat protection and supporting the tire's sidewall.
  • WT: Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire's tread layout and profile for modern, wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for older, narrower rims, which can result in an overly square tire profile and suboptimal performance. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are effective over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on rider preference.
  • TR: Tubeless tires offer numerous benefits, including the ability to run lower air pressures for improved traction, lower rolling resistance compared to tube-type tires, and a reduced risk of flats since there is no tube.
