The Maxxis Dissector Folding MTB Tyre is designed for speed and precision, inspired by Downhill race legend Troy Brosnan. Troy aimed for a unique tyre with a center tread that maintains speed effortlessly, complemented by edge blocks for exceptional cornering. The design process began with the Rekon, Minion DHF, and High Roller II tread patterns during the 2018 World Cup season.

• Wide Trail (WT): Designed to optimize the tire's tread layout and profile on modern, wider rims. Traditional tires are made for older, narrower rims, which can result in a less-than-optimal square tire profile. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but work well with a range from 30-35mm, depending on rider preference.
• 3C MaxxGrip: Utilizes the softest rubber compounds for ultimate grip and slow rebound properties, providing unparalleled traction in downhill applications.
• Tubeless Ready (TR): Tubeless downhill setups help reduce weight and allow for more time in the bike park or on local runs. Sealant-compatible rubber is used with Maxxis dual-ply 60 TPI downhill construction and a butyl insert for support and rim protection, offering increased grip and reliability. A Tubeless Ready bead securely locks to the rim, and the foldable bead provides additional weight savings.
• DH Casing: Dual-ply 60 TPI (2x60TPI) with a butyl insert, providing increased reliability and support at speed.
