The Kink Pillar cranks feature a one-piece forged backplate that connects the pedal and spindle bosses, providing a stiff backbone to each crank arm. This design removes weak points typical in traditional tubular cranks, enhancing strength without extra weight. Additionally, the Pillar cranks include a two-piece hydraulically pressed spindle-to-arm design and a heat-treated hollow chromoly spindle.
