The Enduro 440C stainless headset bearings are crafted from 440C stainless steel balls and races, offering outstanding corrosion resistance and durability. This alloy boasts the highest strength, hardness, and wear resistance among the 440-series stainless steels due to its high carbon content. Enhanced mechanical properties are achieved through multiple heat and cryogenic treatments. Although stainless steel has a slightly lower load capacity and is softer than 52100 chromium steel, it excels in wet conditions, frequent bike washing, or areas prone to sweat. Enduro Bearings enhances water resistance with LLB type seals and CRC Marine Grease. These bearings are used in many popular headset brands, some of which provide a 110-year warranty.
