This material offers the highest strength, hardness, and wear resistance among the 440-series stainless alloys, making it perfect for challenging environments. The bearing undergoes extensive heat and cryogenic treatments to enhance its mechanical properties. While it has a slightly lower load capacity compared to 52100 chromium steel, it excels in wet conditions, frequent bike washing, or areas prone to sweat. Enduro Bearings incorporates LLB type seals and CRC Marine grease for added waterproofing. These bearings are used in many popular headset brands, some of which offer a 110-year warranty.
