Description
The Crankbrothers Mallet Lace Clip-In MTB Shoes are designed for versatility on both race tracks and bike parks. They feature the innovative Match System, which enhances compatibility with any MTB clip-in system, including Crankbrothers and SPD. The shoes come with a Match shim and a Crankbrothers cleat pre-installed in a neutral position, making them ready for use with Crankbrothers pedals straight out of the box.
Key Features
- Match Box: The ramped cleat box allows for easy front and rear pedal entry and effectively sheds mud. The Race Zone setback on the cleat track enables the cleat to be positioned further toward the heel, enhancing control and stability during descents.
- Match Compound: The mid-friction rubber compound (MC1) facilitates easy pedal entry and exit while being durable enough to withstand wear and tear. The radial lug pattern around the cleat box is designed to ensure a smooth release from the pedal body.
- Match Outsole: The tread pattern is crafted for traction when off the bike. Directionally angled and spaced toe and heel lugs provide grip for hiking up or down steep terrain. The ramped toe enhances walkability on steep surfaces.
