DK stands for “Dad and Kids”, founded in 1979 in Ohio when young BMX rider Bill Dani­shek broke stem after stem. His father Charlie, a skilled toolmaker, made a stronger stem to stop the breakdowns—and DK was born.

Since then DK has grown beyond stems to offer complete bicycles, frames, parts and accessories, carrying the same focus on ruggedness and precision.
