Founded in 1988 by motorsports engineer Leigh Sargent, Zipp was born in Indiana with the goal of bringing carbon innovation from auto racing into cycling. The company introduced the very first carbon-fibre disc wheel and pioneered shapes like dimpled rims to tame wind and deepen speed.
