If you’re after drivetrain parts that bring French precision and racing pedigree to your ride without breaking the bank, Stronglight hits the mark. Born in Saint-Étienne in 1906, this brand blends old-school craftsmanship with modern machining to create components built to last. Gear up with Stronglight and enjoy performance, durability and style that work as hard as you do.
The Stronglight Story
Stronglight began in 1906 in the Loire region near Saint-Étienne, founded by Achille Haubtmann, making cranksets and pedals from forged metals. Across decades the brand introduced aluminium cranksets like the iconic 49D, supplied parts to professional races including the Tour de France, and survived turbulent times through innovation and reinvention.
Today Stronglight still manufactures cranksets, chainrings, bottom brackets and even mudguards, using cold forging, Computer Numerical Control machining and precision finishing. All that heritage means you get drivetrain parts steeped in experience, engineered for real-world cycling and lasting reliability.
