Ride with Confidence, Ride with Stans

Stans makes going tubeless easy, keeping your ride smooth, flat-free and fun. You’ll get thoughtful parts and accessories that really work – sealants that heal holes before you notice them, wheels built for real roads and trails, and spares that keep you rolling.

The Stans Story

Founded in 2001 by Stan Koziatek in Big Flats, New York, Stans introduced the original tubeless sealant to solve the flat-tyre problem once and for all. That invention kicked off a new era in bicycle ride comfort and reliability.

Stans didn’t stop at sealants. They developed rims and wheels made explicitly for tubeless systems, pioneered Bead Socket Technology and a full range of accessories. Today, those innovations benefit every rider who wants fewer repairs, more grip and better control – whether you’re riding trails around the corner or across the country.

Why Ride Stans?

  • Proven tubeless innovation. Stans invented the tubeless sealant system in 2001 and continues to refine it so sealants still seal holes up to 6.5 mm and stay liquid inside your tyre for two to seven months depending on climate.
  • Ride comfort and safety together. Removing inner tubes and running tubeless tyre systems lets your tyre run lower air pressure without pinch-flats or sudden air loss, so you get better traction and less harsh impacts on rough terrain.
  • Builds that think ahead. Stans’ wheels and rims use bead geometry optimised for tubeless fit, strong rim bod- ies and rim strips that resist tears, so less chance of failure during tough rides.
  • Real riding tested. Stans works with athletes and everyday riders alike to test new designs in the field. That feedback keeps tyres, sealants and valves trustworthy and durable, not just good on paper.

Popular Stans Ranges Explained

Stans Notubes Original

Stans Notubes Original is the standard sealant formula built for all-round use across road, gravel and mountain biking. It reliably seals holes up to 6.5 mm, operates in temperatures down to roughly -20 °C, and stays effective for two to seven months depending on conditions.

Stans Notubes Rim Tape

The Rim Tape that Stans makes is designed for tubeless ready rims. It forms an airtight barrier over spoke holes so the sealant and air stay in place. Choose a width slightly wider than your channel width for better sealing and durability.

Stans Notubes Universal Valves

Stans Universal Valves have removable cores to let you inject sealant once the core is removed. They fit many rims, seal well against the rim bed, and are an easy upgrade for converting to tubeless.

Stans Notubes Dart Tool

The Dart Tool is a small repair part designed to plug cuts or slashes in tubeless tyres when out on trail. It gives you a fast fix so you can keep riding until a full tyre repair is possible.

Stans Notubes Flow

Stans Flow wheels are rugged alloy mountain bike wheels built with Stans’ tubeless-friendly rim profiles. They provide strong sidewalls, reliable seals and durability without excessive cost so you can ride rough terrain and still trust your wheels.
