With gear that’s built tough and tuned for what riders really need, Cateye keeps things simple and solid.
The Cateye Story
Cateye began in Osaka, Japan in 1954 as a small metalworks shop, before launching its first reflector in 1957 and the first flashing bicycle light in 1964. They introduced their first cycle computer in 1981 and pushed the boundaries again in 2001 with the first bicycle head lamp using white light-emitting diodes.
Years of innovation in reflector technology, lens design, lighting performance and electronics have gone into every Cateye product. Today those advances translate into brighter lights, clear computer displays and dependable forms built to take knocks—all of which riders at 99 Bikes count on every ride.
