The Labour Day long weekend saw the team head to Northern NSW to race in both Elite C and Elite B grades at the QSM Battle on the Border. Only in its third year, the 3 day, 4 stage race made up of an individual time trial, two tough hilly road races, and a crit is quickly becoming a favourite on the race calendar.
The team battled tough conditions, including pelting rain and lightning, some serious hills, flat tyres, and fast racing, walking away with some fantastic results. The 99 Bikes team ended up with three stage wins, two 3rd placings, a 2nd in General Classification, and a King of the Mountains Jersey, plus a host of other great placings!
Thanks must go to the people at QSM for putting on such a great stage race in our own backyard, we will be sure to be there again next year!
